It’s almost summer and with summer comes lazy days laying by the pool. Sean Bones is the perfect soundtrack for those long afternoons that you never want to end. Richly produced and deeply layered, these reggae tinged pop tunes are impossible to resist. It’s music that makes you want to go outside and stay there, a tall glass of something tropical chilling your hand. The songs will get into your head and warm your bones. What more can you ask?
For most musicians, the progression goes “band, then "clothing line”. Not Sean Bones. Sam Champion guitarist Sean Sullivan began his side project originally as a way to launch a swimsuit line he designed with his girlfriend. The music proved more popular than the bikinis and the project has been drawing critical and fan acclaim ever since. Between starring in a movie in Jamaica (Wah Doo Dem) and collaborating with Norah Jones, Sean Bones has also put out an EP, an LP and a much anticipated full length album dubbed Buzzards Boy. You can expect to see a lot more of Sean Bones soon; just don’t hold your breath about the swim trunks.
